Barbara Walters-Dixon was born in Louisville Kentucky and grew up in Madison, IN - her fathers's hometown.
She graduated from Madison High School, married and moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. She lived there for 33 years and now resides in Historic Madison Indiana.
Barbara sketched in her earlier years and tried many medias. The most interesting media in her experiences were oils and watercolors.
Recently her passion has turned to painting historic Madison and Riverboats. However she does commission work consisting of pets, portraits, landscapes, architcture, etc.
Some of her paintings have been sold internationally and throughout the United States.
